The Cullens courtyard on days like these was, in Bella’s opinion, one of the most beautiful places on earth. Magical and full of life, it was impossible to not be touched by the simplicity of its beauty or ignore the warm and comforting scent of the trees and the flowers. It was heaven, her personal and secret heaven where she knew she could find everything that was significant and brightened unequivocally her existence. It was her home, the place where she didn’t need to hide from anyone.

One bright smile touched lightly her lips when she felt the unexpected sun beams play across her cold and stone-like skin. Sending bright sparks everywhere and making her pale marble skin glitter like millions of diamonds, Bella seated herself on the ground, letting her body fall softly on the ground until she was completely laid down on the fresh and green grass above her. More as an instinctive human habit than for need, she closed her eyes and breathed deeply enjoying that peacefully peace, but then there was something missing… One important part of her heaven, perhaps the biggest… Where was after all her family?

The calm and blissful solitude was always needed, sometimes, but not for Bella on that particular day. She had had, already, too much alone time on the last couple of few days, so she couldn’t help but fell perturbed for the unchanging silence. It was rather stressing, actually, now that the only thing she wanted was to hear their joyful laugher and play with her daughter. Even Jacob, her best friend and sometimes rather obnoxious werewolf, Jake, was absent.

Bella sighed, of boredom and breathed deeply for instances and then it was when she was assaulted for one of the most loveliest and incredible scents on the world. The scent of her daughter… One soft smile played across her lips once she heard the almost silent footsteps of Nessie, walking toward her direction, but even thought she held her eyes close. Only when she heard Nessie running toward her and felt the soft and warm body of her beautiful daughter jumping on her, only then Bella opened her eyes giggling with happiness.

"Momma!" Nessie greeted her, holding one flower, a lily, up for Bella to see.

“Nessie, where have you been sweetie?” She asked her smiling softly and her golden eyes followed her daughter laying the flower on Bella’s chest.. “What a beautiful flower! Is it for me?”

Bella didn’t spoke for a while after Nessie’s explanation. She had been with Jacob… Of course, she should have thought of that. The probabilities of finding them together, a little for her annoyance, were quite big normally. Not that she didn’t like Jacob, he was her best friend and part of her family, but she still couldn’t forgive him for imprinting on her little baby, Renesmee. Well, perhaps Nessie wasn’t already that small to be considered a baby even though she was still two years-old, but that was due to her daughter’s half-vampire half-human nature.

Nessie was unique, or at least that was what they thought at the beginning: one of a kind. But there were a few more, now they knew that, but half-vampires were still very rare. Not all the vampires had restrain enough to conceive such a miracle life like Edward had… without killing her when she still was human and so breakable. One soft smile crossed her lips remembering those distant times. Bella never doubted his strengths, even knowing her human blood was like a siren call for Edward, but she was a very proud stupid lamb and she was glad for that.

"Momma, why don't you and Daddy like me to be alone with Jake?" Nessie asked Bella suddenly, coughing her out of guard. Oh no… not now completely alone! Besides, she was still too young.

“Well, it’s not because we do not like it sweetie… “Bella started trying to think on the best words.” Mummy and daddy just want to be sure you’re fine and we worry so much about you. I guess you’re still lour little baby, we just don’t want to be away from you.” She completed proud of herself.


It was partially true. They knew Jacob wouldn’t think of Nessie in a ‘mate’ perspective, if he would Edward would just simply kick his butt, but it would happen soon or later and she wasn’t prepared for that. “So, What you two were doing? Do you have fun with Jake?” Bella asked trying to keep the talk lightly.
