Appearance:
Many new additions to the Volturi underestimate Jane when they first meet her (Of course that misunderstanding is quickly fixed), because of her young age. Jane was only twelve years old when she was changed into a vampire, and like all vampires her appearance has not changed since. Like all vampires she has the pale skin, ice cold touch, and like vampires of her kind, dark burgundy eyes that are a dead give away of her non-human nature. Not that Jane cares too much about what humans think of her eyes, of course.
As far as clothing is concerned, Jane has turned rather modern. She occasionally sports the dark cloaks that some other Volturi members wear, but underneath that cloak you can always find comfortable jeans and a T shirt, or another suitable modern outfit. Seeing as she appears so young, Jane really has no reason to be dressy.
Personality:
Once more, Jane's childish appearance is misleading. She has never had the natural curious nature of a child, because even when she was human she experienced far too much. Being burned at the stake by people she had once called friends and even a few relatives changed her into a rather cold a bitter person. She regards the Volturi, specifically Aro, as her saviors, not just from death, but from the entire human race. he doesn't even think of the fact that she was once human herself anymore, humans are the enemies, and they're nothing more than food when she is thirsty.
Bloodthirsty isn't a word that Jane would like to use about herself. Certainly, she enjoys 'burning' others. The pain and fear in the eyes of those who know her power amuses her, and she will never hesitate to give others a taste of her gift, but she (usually) will not go out of her way to find excuses to use it. She has grown up around violence of many kinds, and has more experience than many vampires until nothing really shocks her anymore.

History:
Jane Alarica and Alec Reese were born about two centuries ago, in a small Italian village. There was about a population of about a hundred people in the small village whose name has been forgotten over the years. Everyone knew the twins through their parents and the fact that children were usually celebrated in such a small community, especially twins, and though they didn't have many children their age to have as companions, Alec and Jane were never unhappy.
The children were always gifted, in a way. Jane's gift wasn't well known throughout the adults, but she had a way of knowing how to make the other children do things her way with an icy stare or a cold word. That wouldn't have been unusual among children, unless you observed the fact that most of the children she could persuade were anywhere from the age of seven to fifteen, and most were larger than her. Alec had his way of calming those around him until they were almost in a trance like state, even if he was unaware of it.
Still, their gifts went unnoticed by the village until a witch hunt craze spread throughout the area. In addition, it was that year that an illness raged through the town, killing many children and quite a few adults, including Jane and Alec's parents. Fearful for their lives and propelled from the rumors about witchcraft that were spreading like wildfire, the villagers believed that the deaths were the cause of witches among them. It was then that they looked at the twins and saw their gifts in a darker light, as more than just charisma or a way of getting their way. The frightened orphans couldn't say anything in their defense that the villagers would listen too, they were past reasoning.
The children were tied to the stake already, and the fire was lit, when the Volturi made their move. It turned out that they had had their eyes on the twins for quite some time, but wanted to wait until Alec and Jane were older before they were changed. The village people had forced the Volturi hand early. Not a single person in the village, man, woman, or child, was left breathing. Well, Alec and Jane were, but that wouldn't last much longer. Three days later Alec and Jane were introduced into their new lives, and they have never left it.
Sample Post: (From my RP site that I had to shut down... The plot was basically that Bella and Edward had decided to join the Volturi after the rest of their family vanished over a summer break pre Breaking Dawn.)
To Jane's heightened senses, the cloak swishing along the floor behind her sounded like a vehicle in the quiet hallway. There was no other noise to compare it with, unless you counted the slightly muted sounds coming from the other side of the thick stone walls of the building. Seeing as it was the middle of the night, those sounds weren't very loud either. The silence suited the darkened atmosphere of the empty hallways and the people who resided inside of them.
But though it seemed like it at the moment, Jane was not alone in this luxurious, silent building. There were probably about twenty, thirty more like her, just as awake and alive as she was(though that probably didn't say much). Including the woman who Jane was currently going to visit.
As she opened the door to Bella's room, Jane had already noticed nearly everything about it. There was a large, four poster bed against the back wall. For some reason Jane could not understand, Bella had requested to have one even when she required no sleep. There were thick black curtains guarding the view to the outside world through a window that covered the entire left wall, and furniture lying here and there. But what attracted Jane's attention the most was Bella Cullen Volturi herself. The young vampire had certainly adapted well to this new life that she had chosen. Better than some would have expected. Bella had once said that she didn't think she was pretty, or that a vampire life would change her appearance much, but in Jane's appearance she looked dazzling. Of course, that was the opinion of an adult mind in a child's body, Jane could easily be biased.
Locking eyes with the former human, Jane offered her and soft, almost apologetic smile. "Bella, Aro wishes to see you." A few months before, Jane would have never been so courteous to this woman. She had been the enemy, and even worse, she was the one creature in the world that was immune to Jane's power. But now, everything had changed, hadn't it? Bella was no longer the enemy, and Jane could afford to be friendly.
